There's nothing like a good workout to keep you on the road to good health.  Improved energy and stamina, reduced stress, the benefits connected with exercise have all been fairly well documented.  And using a hot tub right after exercise is one of the best things that you can do right after you exercise.  Why? Well, there are several things that you need to do after a workout.  First off, make sure you're hydrated.  Drink plenty of water to replenish what you've lost while you were exercising.  Follow your workout with something to eat that goes well with the type of workout you've just completed such as high protein and low-fat to build muscle, high levels of complex-carbohydrates for aerobic activity or cardiovascular exercise, and some way of helping your muscles bounce back.
Using a hot tub improves blood flow and circulation to the areas that you've exercised.  As such, it helps the muscles to begin rebuilding themselves and helps you to reap the benefits that come with exercise.  Using a spa works, no matter what type of exercise you've been doing.

Exercise and Hot Tub Use

Look at someone who has just come back from an evening jog or run.  He or she is going to be a bit tired, and a bit sore if they've pushed it.  A hot tub will not only take away the aches and pains connected with the run, but it will help our runner bounce back from the workout quicker so they can do it again tomorrow.  The same holds true for weight training.  Whether you are lifting for strength, body sculpting, endurance, or some combination of them all, you are going to be aching if you've worked out strenuously.   Different types of workouts produce different types of results.  Using a hot tub, however, produces almost universal results in everyone who uses one.
So remember, if you're exercising, keep up the good work.  People that exercise tend to be healthier, happier, and live fuller lives.  Just be sure to support a fitness lifestyle the right ways.  Keep your sodium down, and watch what you eat.  Get plenty of rest between workouts, and drink a lot of water.  And most of all, don't forget the way that you can really help your body after a workout:  use a hot tub to relax.
