UV Sanitizing in a Hot Tub

When it comes to water purification, you will need to buy some basic chemicals needed to kill bacteria and germs. Some of the popularly used water purification chemicals include chlorine, baquanine and bromine.
Other sanitization systems can also be used alongside these chemicals. One alternative is the use of ultraviolet light systems.   UV sanitizing is both effective and popular.  Some UV light frequencies are harmful to live organisms. When this technology is applied to hot tubs, UV light is used to scramble the DNA of organisms such as bacteria, protozoa and algae, rendering them inactive and unable to reproduce. Any virus or bacteria subjected to the rays become harmless. Additionally, this disinfection unit also destroys all organic matter; hence, eliminated the formation of hazardous chlorine by-products that have been linked to allergies, asthma and even cancer.
After each use of the tub, you should check your water’s chemical balance and add a sanitizer to get an optimum pH balance and crystal clear water. A large dose of sanitizer should be added on a weekly basis. The make, size and model of your tub are the factors to be considered when deciding the best sanitizer configuration.
Regular cleaning of the filter must be carried out, preferably on a monthly basis. This is necessary to ensure long life. Replace your filter if it is frayed or cracked, or looks filthy even after thorough cleaning.

Choosing a Phoenix Hot Tub Dealer

Dealers play a critical role in not only the purchase of a hot tub but also any further services you may need down the road. It's a good idea to find a hot tub dealer in Phoenix.
After inquiring about the dealers’ policies, visit showrooms and ask whether you can test the hot tubs. Most dealers will allow you to soak in them after placing an order. Soak for more than 15 minutes to thoroughly evaluate the experience. Feel where the jets are directing the water, check if the water reaches the shoulder level when you are comfortably seated, and whether the footwell is big enough. Inquire with the Better Business about the tub dealer’s standing. Do not forget to ask for references. Contact other customers to learn about their tub’s performance and their level of customer satisfaction with the service.
So you have a bit of knowledge.  What do you do with it?  Why, go buy a hot tub in Phoenix of course.

Buy a Hot Tub in Phoenix: A Massage with White Noise

One of the health benefits of hot tub use is white noise.  And white noise is a powerful contributing factor to help you to relax.  It's all in the way the human mind words.  First off though, what is white noise, exactly?  According to the site HOWSTUFFWORKS.COM:
"White noise is a type of noise that is produced by combining sounds of all different frequencies together. If you took all of the imaginable tones that a human can hear and combined them together, you would have white noise.
The adjective "white" is used to describe this type of noise because of the way white light works. White light is light that is made up of all of the different colors (frequencies) of light combined together (a prism or a rainbow separates white light back into its component colors). In the same way, white noise is a combination of all of the different frequencies of sound. You can think of white noise as 20,000 tones all playing at the same time.
Because white noise contains all frequencies, it is frequently used to mask other sounds." [READ SOURCE ARTICLE]
If you have a stress-filled day, sitting in a hot tub gives you an anti-stress quadruple whammy.  First off, the heat and buoyancy help your muscles and ligaments to relax.  As your circulation improves, endorphins flow through your system. Finally the white noise is the finishing touch.
The human mind cannot focus on white noise.  If your mind cannot focus it finally lets go of every thought that is bouncing around.  This is one reason why people sleep with a fan on to sleep, the white noise that it produces.  You go almost into a meditative state.  And the jets of a hot tub along with the sound of the water splashing around produces white noise.

Hot Tub Therapy For Mind, Body, and Soul

White noise in an urban environment helps to create oases of peace.  The center of such an oasis is a hot tub.  A hot tub puts you in charge of your environment.  The white noise drowns out the kid driving by with his bass speakers blaring.  It drowns out the sound of someone putting up a new roof, or setting off fireworks.  Then you can choose to let the jets keep making their soothing noise, or maybe you can choose to listen to something soothing and restorative from your favorite playlist.
So, why  not relax.  Buy a hot tub from your hot tub dealer in Phoenix today.

Owning a Hot Tub in Phoenix

During the Arizona summer, which is obviously our high temperature season, its important to follow a
few small steps to prevent your spa from overheating. It is common for fully insulated spas to creep up in temperature in warmer climates, despite your heater being turned off.
  1. Prop your cover open.  Place a towel or a small piece of foam between your cover
and your shell. This will allow some of the heat to escape your
spa. Only one side should be enough at about an 1" opening.
  2. Set filtration during cooler parts of the day.
The heat your pump generates takes a big part in "thermal creep".
Simply set your filtration to night time and early mornings.
NOTE: Make sure your spa is not running for more that the
recommended time cycles of 2 hours every 12 hours.
  3. Keep your air control(s) on the "On" position.
Opening up the air controls will allow air to be passed though your
water lines, which will help keep your spa vented.
Remember that these steps are only necessary during
warmer parts of the year. As temperatures go down,
you may return to normal operation.
Hot tub care and maintenance is important year round, however, in summer, you have additional steps that you're going to have to take as described above.  There are however, more things that you will have to be aware of.

Hot Tub Maintenance: Final Thoughts

First off, another reason why hot tub overheating can be a concern is the fact that you can evaporate your water.  If you use a UV sanitizing system on your spa, the chemical residue will be minimal, however,if you are using a traditional chemical-based system, it will leave a large amount of chemical residue behind which can irritate your lungs and your skin.
So keep your hot tub in good working order, as after all it is an investment.  Make sure you ventilate it properly during the summer months to keep it from overheating.  Clean it once or twice a year or as needed.  Keep your cover on when you're not using your hot tub.
Follow the care instructions that are part of your materials that were given to you when you bought your tub, and when in doubt, call your hot tub dealer in Phoenix for more information.

Hot Tubs:  Keep Them Clean for Your Health and Safety

You want to make sure that you clean your hot tub as well as disinfect it periodically.  Because of the warm and moist environment that is a hot tub, viruses and bacteria can thrive in your tub if you don't treat it.  Hot tubs and home spas can be a fertile breeding ground for bacteria and disease-causing organisms. With the proper hot tub care and maintenance, however, you can have a safe and healthy experience in your tub.   Disinfection is crucial  to prevent the growth of bacteria in your hot tub. Be careful to keep your hot tub's pH and disinfectant level balanced, however,  The disinfectant level in your hot tub or spa should be no lower than 3ppm for chlorine, and 4.5ppm for bromine. The ideal pH level for your tub is somewhere between 7.2 and 7.6.
Check your disinfectant level before and after using your tub.   Most hot tub and spa dealers sell testing kits that you should use regularly. Showering before entering the hot tub is always a good idea.   How often should you disinfect?  Well, how much do you use your hot tub.  If you rarely use your tub, it won't need as much disinfecting.  Another thing that you can do to keep your hot tub clean is to cover it when it's not in use.   Once a month, however, drain your hot tub, and clean it out with a bleach solution.  Your hot tub dealer will also be able to help you with hot tub cleaning tips and instructions.
How Much Should You Use Your Hot Tub?
Hot much should you use your hot tub?  The answer to that depends on a few factors.  First off, consult a doctor before you spend any time in a hot tub to make sure that you can use one.  A good rule of thumb, however, is your internal temperature.  If you are starting to feel hot, don't tough it out.  Get out of the tub and cool down a bit before you get back into the water. Make sure that you are safe in your hot tub as well.  Don't drink too much, or take any medications that may make you sleepy.
Remember, you want a hot tub to work for you not against you.  So, keep your tub clean and disinfect it every now and then.  And if you need any more tips, call a hot tub dealer in Phoenix, or wherever you call home.
