Hot Tub Health Benefits: Mind, Body, & Soul

Water is one of the most powerful forces on earth. There is something soothing and tranquil about being in or around water that just seems to rest the mind and ease the cares of life. For centuries, the effects of water on the human body have long been researched. It is a proven fact that those who live near the water have less stress than those who live more inland. Though it's not possible or everyone to live near water, you can have the same experiences with a bubbling tub right in your own backyard.  This is reason enough to buy a hot tub in Glendale.

From ancient days when communal baths were used to the modern hot tub; the positive influence of warm water cannot be denied. Gone are the days when hot tubs were items that people could only experience at a spa or resort. Now, it is possible to have an affordable hot tub and to enjoy it year round. If you're on the fence about making this type of purchase, here are some reasons why your health will be better with a bubbling tub.

Hot Tub Health Benefits:  Say Goodbye to Aches and Pains

Those who suffer from conditions like Fibromyalgia, arthritis and gout know the problems that come along with stiff and achy joints. One of the best ways to combat these common problems is to relax them with warm water therapy. The healing properties of warm water will go deep into the muscles and alleviate the pain. Heat treatment has long been used to help soothe joints and muscles.

The warm temperatures cause the blood vessels to dilate. Not only does it cause your circulation to improve, but it also allows your endorphins to flow freely. The endorphins are the body's natural pain relievers. They will immediately go to the area where the sprained muscles or inflamed joints are. The best part about these pain relievers is they won't affect your liver or kidneys adversely. Your hot tub can save you money in the long run by reducing your need for doctor visits and pain relievers.
So, relaxation and a reduced pain level.  There are even more reasons to consider.  The first step is to visit your hot tub dealer in Glendale.

Buy a Hot Tub in Glendale: How to Find The Right Dealer (Contd.)

One of the most important things to do before you buy a hot tub in Glendale is to find the right dealer.
Buying a UV-equipped hot tub in Glendale makes maintenance a breeze | 623-776-7727

How Do You Find the Right Hot Tub Dealer?

How do you find the right hot tub dealer?  First off, you want to find one that has a low pressure sales approach.  The best hot tub dealers are consultative in the way that they sell you a spa.
They will ask you a bunch of questions, such as "How many people do you want your tub to be able to hold?"  "What hot tub accessories do you want or need?"   Consultative sales means that you'll get the hot tub that's right for you, not the hot tub the salesman wants you to buy so that he can get a commission.  And there is a real difference between getting a hot tub and getting the right hot tub.
Two elderly grandparents are going to have different needs for a hot tub than say a young and athletic couple.  In addition to buying a hot tub, there is the idea of care and upkeep.  So you want a hot tub that's not only in your budget, but in your ability to keep up and take care of.  That's where the right hot tub dealer can help you.  They can tell you what type of hot tub to buy, as well as what you're going to need in terms of a disinfecting system.  One feature that is a newer idea that is taking off is to buy a hot tub with a UV sanitizing system.
Do you know what is another sign of a good hot tub dealer in Glendale?   If they have new and reconditioned spas that have comparable warranties.  If they have a good clearance hot tubs section, it's also another good sign.

Buying a Hot Tub in Glendale:  Final Thoughts

Ultimately, trust your feelings.  The reason why you want to pick a hot tub dealer in Glendale that uses a low pressure approach is to avoid any buyer's remorse later on.  You want the hot tub that fits your budget, your living space and your lifestyle.  So if you have a salesperson who seems predatory and pushes you to sign anything, you should be able to walk away

So go out there, and do some research.  Then you can be sure you've found the best hot tub dealer in Glendale, Arizona.

Buying a Hot Tub in Glendale

You've chosen to take the dive: This midyear, you'll while away your evenings, wine glass close by, in a hot, percolating hot tub. In any case, before you contract an electrician and begin moving the flower beds to make space for your patio spa, here are four key things to ask when looking for a model to suit your needs.
When you are prepared to take a closer look at buying a hot tub, what should you be searching for? What would you like to avoid? Indeed, even long haul spa proprietors can feel overpowered when taking a look at the assortment of spas accessible today. Where do you start?
We suggest you use as many resources as you can. Clearly, do your web research. Check as many sources as you can, incorporating the manufacturer’s sites as well, additionally visit the low key reviews too to get some near data. Try not to disregard more customary sources. Check with any of your family or friends who have bought a hot tub recently. Approach the hot tub dealer in Glendale for references from past clients.

Reasons to Buy a Hot Tub

One reason to purchase a hot tub is for the sheer pleasure it can give you. However you plan to use it,  a hot tub is a wonderful way to spend an evening.  Hot tubs have proven health benefits including improved circulation, stress relief, pain relief and many other benefits that surprise a lot of people.  Some people balk at the cost of a hot tub, but what they fail to realize is the amount of health benefits that they provide more than makes up for the cost.  Medical care is expensive, so why not be proactive and take care of a lot of health problems before they become severe?  And in the case of existing health issues, hot tubs can help with that as well.
Another reason to buy a spa is that it adds to your home.  The difference between some place you simply live in and a home is the small touches, and one of those touches is a hot tub.  So, remember, you want to find the right hot tub dealer in Glendale.

All the Benefits of a Hot Tub

Buying a hot tub makes sense economically.  Oftentimes, people spend thousands of dollars on therapeutic sessions, to alleviate the muscle aches and pain that transpires as a result of their daily activities. Chances are that, you may have experienced a certain degree of muscle aches and pains as well, and have considered the possibility of utilizing the services of an expensive physiotherapist or health spa professional. However, what if I told you that you don't have to spend thousands of dollars for a single therapeutic session ?
What if I told you that you can partake in a therapeutic session, regardless of the time of day, as often as you feel like it, for a one time investment that can last you over a decade ? In this overview, we'll take a look at the benefits you stand to gain, by utilizing a hot tub to receive the variety of benefits that hypnotherapy has to offer.

What is Hydrotherapy?

One of the aspects of hydrotherapy that is particularly unique is the fact that it has been utilized as an effective form of therapy that has been used for several thousand years by early civilizations such as the Romans and the Greeks. Hydrotherapy formerly known as hot tub therapy, consists of the utilization of warm water in an effort to treat several conditions and the alleviation of typical ailments and conditions that the body suffers from, as a result of routine physical activity.
The Mechanisms That Transpires During A Hydrotherapy Session
The mechanism that transpires during a hot tub therapy session consists of three primary factors: Heat, buoyancy and massage.
Heat is one hot tub benefit.  One of the things that transpire during a hot tub therapy session obviously is the immersion of your body in hot water. When this occurs it causes the body's tempter to elevate. Once the body's temperature elevates, it causes the blood vessels to dilate which in turn results in a higher level of circulation. A high level of circulation within the body can yield a variety of positive effects.  It all starts with a phone call.  So call your hot tub dealer in Glendale.

Buy a Hot Tub in Glendale

Buying a hot tub in Glendale is all about features.  While it is tempting to just buy a hot tub because of it's sale price, you want to buy a hot tub because you like the features.  One very good feature to have in a hot tub is a UV sanitizing system.  UV sanitizing is already used in water purification machines and facilities around the world.  UV rays eliminate 99% of all bacteria, viruses and other harmful disease pathogens.  As it reduces your hot tub's use of harsh chemicals this is also good for your skin as well as your respiratory system.  After all a great many of the chemicals used to sterilize water are also quite harmful.  Look at chlorine and bromine for example.  However your sanitizing system is only one feature that you will want to get for your hot tub
A good hot tub dealer in Glendale will have a lot of hot tub accessories for you to add to your tub.  Steps may sound like a no brainer, that is until you realize that you have no way of easily entering or exiting your tub, but they're just one thing.  You probably want a cover as well to help keep the dust out, and make your tub easier to clean.  However, these accessories are only some of the ones you're probably going to want

Hot Tub Light and Sound Packages

Buying a hot tub is also about what can make your hot tub experience even more memorable.  And two options that are often included in some hot tubs are light and sound packages.  Imagine soaking in your hot tub listening to relaxing music while the LED lights in your hot tub softly change colors.
So it is a good idea to start making a list.  How big of a hot tub are you going to need?  Will you need a cozy 2-3 people tub, or will you need one that seats 6 or more people?  What color choices are available?
You'll obviously want hot tub steps, and a spa cover.  UV sanitizing is a good idea as well.  But ultimately, your choices are always up to you.  But making the right decisions now will determine whether you have just bought a hot tub, or gotten yourself the best hot tub ever.

Hot Tub Maintenance: Why A Salt Cell May Be a Prison

As your hot tub dealer in Glendale, we think it our duty to advise you regarding purchasing a spa, particularly where salt systems and their marketing claims are concerned.

Hot Tub Sales:  Things You Must Know

When it is time to buy a new hot tub, you may be considering a salt-system for your hot tub.  Salt systems can be a good buy as long as you have full disclosure, and complete honesty from your dealer.  There is a phrase in Latin: "caveat emptor,"  which means: "let the buyer beware."  Salt system based hot tubs have a lot to be wary of.  Let's look at some of the claims out there.
Here's one:  salt water systems are cheap to purchase.  Well, that depends on how you define "cheap."  A standalone salt water system runs $500 to $700.  In addition, most of these systems have only a one year warranty, so at one year and one day, you're on the hook for repairs.  But what about built in salt water systems?

Hot Tub Maintenance:  Grandiose Claims Vs. Reality

When you buy a hot tub, built in salt systems can run up to $1500, and again, only have a one year warranty.  Some hot tub dealers out there will throw in a salt system for "free" with the purchase of a hot tub.  However, if you think about it, wouldn't it be better to get a $1500 discount on your hot tub as opposed to a freebie that is expensive to maintain and keep up?  While monthly hot tub salt is half the price of chlorine based systems, you also have to purchase: hot tub chlorine, hot tub shock, calcium remover, pH elevators, pH lowering agents, stain and scale defense, de-foamer, and 5 way test strips.  As we covered previously, over a period of five to ten years, you will end up spending thousands on water sanitizers.  However, there are more reasons to be wary.

One hot tub salt system manufacturer proudly proclaims "Real diamonds used in every salt cell!"  There is no nice way to put this: big whoop.  Diamonds are used to convey an air of luxury and to make the salt cells appear more valuable than they truly are.  What people don't realize is that the diamonds in question are essentially made from industrial grade diamonds, not the sparkly things you see in a jewelry commercial.  In addition, these "diamonds" are essentially crushed and powdered diamonds and when the salt cell is used up, they're thrown out.  So be sharp here.  Don't be fooled by some over the top claim, nor a bunch of shine and polish that is nothing.  And make sure you ask your hot tub dealer in Glendale for their advice on what sort of system is best for your hot tub.

Owning a Hot Tub: Frequently Asked Questions Part 2

Part two of a series on owning a hot tub explores some more common questions from first time buyers.

Should You Use Soft Water in Your Hot Tub?

Call Your Hot Tub Dealer in Glendale, AZ | (623) 776-7727
Call Your Hot Tub Dealer in Glendale, AZ | (623) 776-7727
Should you use soft water in your hot tub?  While water that's been through a water softener is great for cooking and drinking, it is not the best thing for your hot tub.  Why?  Well, too little calcium in your water can cause your metal fittings to start to corrode. As a rule, soft water has very little calcium in it, which means you'd have to add a calcium booster to your water.
Should I shower before I go in a hot tub? Absolutely. A quick rinse in the shower helps to remove lotions, soaps, detergents, and other substances that when they start interacting with the water. If you and your guests don't shower before you go in a hot tub, it is what causes hot tub water to foam up.

Hot Tub Use and Shocking your Spa

Like a swimming pool, you will need to shock your hot tub's water every now and then.  As to how often, that depends entirely  on how often the hot tub is used, how many people are in it at a time, and other factors.  You want to make sure you keep your water as clean and chemically balanced as possible to avoid algae and other microorganisms from establishing themselves.  After all, a hot tub is hot water without it's chemicals.
If you're a first time owner, you probably have even more questions.  For questions about hot tubs, call a local hot tub dealer.
For more information on frequently asked questions for new hot tub owners, please read part one  of this series as well.

Owning a Hot Tub: Frequently Asked Questions Part 1

If you wish to buy a hot tub in Glendale, it is a good idea to be aware of some of the questions that a first time hot tub owner may have, as this multi-part series will cover.

Water and Chemicals in a Hot Tub

Many questions first time hot tub owners have are about getting a hot tub involve water and chemicals.  You must realize one thing up front, a pool and a hot tub differ from each other. Should water in a hot tub be treated with chemicals exactly like a swimming pool? No. While alkaline levels and pH are identical, bromine, chlorine or other sanitizer levels are a lot lower at 3-5 ppm. Also with a tub, you have to clean the filter far more than you would with with a pool as well as balance the pH and sanitizer.
Is it possible to buy a product to keep your hot pH levels static? As your hot tub dealer in Glendale we do not recommend them, no. Why? Well, products like these are designed for water with less than 150ppm calcium hardness. Most likely you will end up clouding your water. While the filter can clean your water up, you'll have to clean your filter too. What do I do if my pH number is very low and my alkaline is higher than normal? You always start with the lowest number first. So increase your pH level first, then lower it, which will bring your alkaline and pH levels back in balance.

Owning a Hot Tub and General Care

One other commonality that hot tubs share with pools is that you'll have to clean them every now and then. If you don't know how often to clean your hot tub, contact a hot tub dealer in your area, however, usually you have to change out the water every six months. Most of the time, however, cleaning your hot tub means cleaning your filter.
Part two of this series will explore some further questions regarding hot tubs and cleaning tips.

Buying jewelry for each other is thoughtful, but it costs a lot for good quality stuff.  Chocolate is obviously sweet, both figuratively and literally, much cheaper than jewelry, but what happens when it's all eaten?  As for flowers, they are beautiful, but you'll have them at most for a couple of weeks if they're cut, then they end up in the yard waste bin.  So what is left?  Trips?  Great memories, but they are over before you know it. Why not buy a hot tub for Valentine's Day?  After all, it is a far better gift than all the usual standard ones given this time of year.
Why? Well, look at the health benefits of using a hot tub.  You have improved circulation, a sense of peace and well-being, and let's not forget the main reason you want a spa: stress relief.  Stress doesn't just affect you emotionally and mentally, it has proven effects on your health, and can cause or contribute to a lot of health conditions from psoriasis to hypertension.  And relieving stress is important at all times of year.  And in Arizona, you can use a hot tub year round, not just this time of year.

Year Round Stress Relief

Year round stress relief is just a visit away.  And since we are in a business that offers products that are designed for a better lifestyle, we believe in a stress free sales approach.  We offer new and reconditioned spas at near wholesale prices because we have a great relationship with the manufacturer, and since they are based here, we don't have to pay huge transportation costs.  Installing a hot tub has never been easier.
So remember, this Valentine's Day, you want a gift that you can use year round.  So why not get the best gift ever: A new or reconditioned hot tub?

Installing a Hot Tub Part 3

Part three of a series on installing a hot tub explores some final points.

Hot Tub Installation:  Installing an Outdoor Hot Tub

Hot Tub Installation in Glendale | 623-776-7727
Hot Tub Installation in Glendale | 623-776-7727
As a rule, if you are installing a hot tub, it's usually put outside.  In our last article, we covered making sure you have a firm base for it, but what about a way to get to it?  Do you have a path around your hot tub and leading to it?  And not just any path, a path that someone can conceivably walk on barefoot?  A lot of time people aren't as cautious as they should be with the paving stones they create.  Concrete is fine, however, you don't want it too rough.  Otherwise you're going to be wincing as you step on it.  You also want a clear path that will cut down on the debris that will end up in the hot tub.  While it is possible to do it later, doing it before hand makes the transition easier.  Now you have a way to it, what is your hot tub going to rest on?
If you have  at least a week or maybe even two before you get your hot tub delivered,  concrete is an ideal solution for the hot tub base. It  won't be cheap, but it will add value to your property. A reinforced concrete base at minimum should be 4 inches thick and be able to support a ton or more of weight.

How Long After I Pour My Concrete Before I install a Hot Tub?

First off, check the weather report.  You do not want to put any concrete down if there is a chance of rain or high humidity.  Otherwise, your concrete will take a lot longer to dry, and you run the risk of cracking it.  Once the concrete is dry, and cured, then you want to probably seal your concrete to prevent water damage.  Then you can install your hot tub at that time.
So remember, preparing for a hot tub is almost as important as purchasing one.  If you have any questions, get on the phone to your hot tub dealer in Glendale.
This concludes part three of our series. For more information on hot tub installation, be sure to read part one and part two.

As a responsible hot tub dealer in Glendale, we also believe that our customers should know that there is such a thing as too much time in a hot tub, as well as what times you should not ever use a hot tub.  First off we'll cover too much time in a hot tub.
The human body is a wonderful and complex organism, however, if it is exposed to extreme temperatures either cold or hot, it can start to shut down.  In the case of a hot tub, you do not want to use your tub for more than 30 minutes at a time without breaks to cool down periodically.  A lot of people know what hypothermia is, but not hyperthermia.  Too much hot tub use can cause hyperthermia.  There are also certain people who should never use a hot tub in Glendale unsupervised.

Hot Tubs Glendale and Proper Hot Tub Use

Proper hot tub use also means that certain people should not use a hot tub without supervision.  Elderly people, or people who have epilepsy are two such examples.  Another big example are young children.  Everyone knows that you have to watch your kids around water, but that doesn't mean just a swimming pool.  You also have to watch them around a hot tub.  Pre-teen children should also limit their time in a tub for another reason, namely that it can cause their physical growth to be potentially stunted.
So remember, that a hot tub, if used properly, can help with stress relief which in turn can help with other health problems as well.  But like anything therapeutic, you need to keep it in balance.  Then you can enjoy your Glendale hot tub without fear.

First off, some forms of stress are necessary.  In a life or death situation, stress is natural, and can literally save your life, namely the famous 'fight or flight' response ingrained into us all.  However, make no mistake, unresolved stress is a bad thing.  Unresolved stress, or stacking  is a proven contributor to a plethora of health problems from gingivitis to even cardiovascular disease.  Completely eliminating all forms of stress is an impossibility.  However, there are several methods you can use to reduce your stress significantly.  As a hot tub dealer in Glendale, here are some of the methods of stress relief:
  • Meditation
  • Massage
  • Going for a Walk
  • Exercise
All of these ways can help to relieve stress, however, there is no perfect way of relieving stress.  Even a hot tub in Glendale has to be used in moderation, as we will cover in our next article about proper hot tub use.

Hot Tubs Glendale: One Method of Stress Relief

Hot tubs in Glendale are a good way to relax, however.  They can also help after exercise, and provide you with your own 24x7 masseuse or masseur.  And you obviously don't have to tip your hot tub.  In fact we recommend not tipping your hot tub at all, or all the water will spill out.
Sorry, we couldn't resist, a bit of spa industry humor.  But guess what.  Guess what another method of stress relief is? That's right, having a sense of humor.  In fact a sense of humor is one of the ways we can deal with life and it's stresses. There is another way, however, and that is to install a hot tub in Glendale.

Throwing a Memorable Hot Tub Party Part 2: Libations

Part two of a three part series on hot tub entertaining explores libations you can mix, as well as the idea of using an open bar.  And both of them have their pluses and minuses.

An Important Note About Hot Tubs and Alcohol

Hot tub parties can include alcohol
if you drink responsibly | 623-776-7727
As a responsible hot tub dealer in Glendale, we advise you to drink responsibly.  Do not go into a hot tub if you've had too much to drink, and never go in alone.  With that said, it is time to talk about the second ingredient of a great party: libations.  Go to the liquor department of any grocery store, and you will find a bewildering assortment of different types of  booze, from vodka to rum to wine.

To add to this confusion, there are hundreds of drink recipes online or in books. It can be a bit much when you're thinking about throwing a hot tub party particularly if you don't know that much about cocktails.  First off, let's start simple.  Where alcohol is concerned, the ice chest should be used to keep self-contained drinks such as beer or wine coolers.  The refrigerator is the place for mixed drinks such as a Tom Collins, a screwdriver, white or green Russians, or  Cosmopolitans that involve fresh fruit. milk,  or fruit juices.  The freezer on the other hand is for frozen drink mixes such as margaritas, frozen daiquiris, and so on.  So as a host or hostess, you can decide to make a round of drinks usually the same cocktail, or you can go for an open bar.

An Open Bar for a Hot Tub Party: Yes or No?

An important thing to know about good alcohol is that it is never cheap.  Real absinthe for example can run $80 and up a bottle, as can really good tequila.  With that in mind, if you're doing an open bar at your hot tub party, you don't want to put out the 'special occasion' alcohol only to find an empty bottle at the end of the night.  So get some moderately priced libations, and some mixers such as club soda, cola, and ginger ale.  Your guests can mix their own drinks.

As their host, however, keep an eye on them and make sure they're not drinking too much, particularly if they are thinking of driving home.  So where alcohol and a hot tub party is concerned, just remember to be responsible.
