Part three of a series about why you should buy a hot tub for the holidays explores some more reasons to buy a hot tub at this time of year.

The Holidays Are Over, Why Should I Buy a Hot Tub?

Buy a Hot Tub in Time For Valentine's Day | 623-776-7727
The holidays are largely over.  We've just got New Year's left and  that isn't too high stress.  Why should I buy a hot tub then? Well, for one, you've got one more holiday that is all about intimacy coming up in little more than a month. What holiday.  Well, we're kind of thinking of Valentine's Day here.
We know what you're thinking.  Valentine's day isn't until February 14th.  Why should I buy a hot tub now?  Well, there's a wise saying: "dates on the calendar are closer than they appear."  Pretty soon it will be mid-January, then February.  And then there you'll be, scrambling to buy a present for your special someone.

Yeah, But Why a Hot Tub in Glendale?

Everyone does flowers and chocolates.  Jewelry is expensive and only one of you can enjoy it.  Chocolates go to your waistline and flowers die.  So why not get the gift that you both can use and use all year round, not just on Valentine's Day:  a hot tub Glendale.
So, the holidays are wrapping up, but stress is forever, so do what you can to resolve your stress.  Listen to your favorite
music, and sip your favorite beverage.  Kick off your shoes, put your keys away, and turn off the telephone.  Then slip into a hot tub with your special someone, just in time for the holidays.

This concludes part one of our series about why you should buy a hot tub for the holidays.  Be sure to read part one and part two as well.

The holidays are one of the most stressful times of year, which is a big reason  you should think about getting a hot tub for the holidays.  We all tell ourselves that we will not stress out this year, but usually by New Year's Day we are drained and in all honesty, kind of grim and tired.  And why is that?  Because we've had to deal with:
  • Bad drivers
  • Constant bombardment of Christmas ads
  • Over saturation of Christmas music
  • Crowds even at the grocery store
  • Family issues
  • Shopping
  • A busy holiday schedule
In addition, we also have to deal with everyday stress too.  A fight with your significant other, your boss in your face, insane traffic.  Bit by bit your relaxation level goes way down and your stress level goes up.  That's where proper hot tub use comes into play.

Buying a Hot Tub for the Holidays is Easy

If you use a hot tub regularly, you bring your body back into balance, and give yourself such much needed perspective on the things that are stressing you out.  What's more important is that physiologically, you let go and relax, which makes you happier and less stressed out this holiday season.  And if you're more relaxed, it is contagious.  A lot of people are aware of tension on a subconscious level.  If you relax, so do they.
So, remember to be good to everyone this time of year, and relax just a little.  And one way to do it?  Visit your hot tub dealer and get a hot tub delivered today.

Your parents have done a lot for you.  Why not give them a gift that will make them feel happier and healthier this holiday season?  Buying a hot tub for the holidays is one of the best gifts that you can get them.  A hot tub allows them to enjoy their golden years with stress relief, good circulation and improved overall health.  However, there are even more people who would appreciate getting a spa.
Why not buy a hot tub for you and your significant other, or maybe for your entire family to use.  And with the weather cool this time of year, a hot tub during the holidays is a nice way to relax from all of that holiday stress and anxiety.  However, there is one other person you should think about buying a tub for.

Buy a Hot Tub For Yourself

Have you ever thought to buy a hot tub for yourself?  Too many times, people are all about buying presents for everyone on their list, everyone that is but themselves.  The holiday season is all about gift-giving, but sometimes, we put others above ourselves.  As a result, sometimes, we neglect to treat ourselves as the wonderful people we really are.  Many self-esteem gurus firmly believe that you have to treat yourself as someone special in order to have a healthy sense of self-worth.
So there are more than a few people in your life worthy of a gift this holiday season.  So why not buy a hot tub for the holidays?

Hot Tubs Glendale Part 3

Part three of our series on hot tubs Glendale explores proper hot tub use.

Hot Tubs Glendale: Is There Such a Thing as Too Much?

Hot Tub and Outdoor Kitchen Installation in Glendale | 623-776-7727
Hot Tub Installation in Glendale | 623-776-7727
As a responsible hot tub dealer in Glendale, we also believe that our customers should know that there is such a thing as too much time in a hot tub, as well as what times you should not ever use a hot tub.  First off we'll cover too much time in a hot tub.
The human body is a wonderful and complex organism, however, if it is exposed to extreme temperatures either cold or hot, it can start to shut down.  In the case of a hot tub, you do not want to use your tub for more than 30 minutes at a time without breaks to cool down periodically.  A lot of people know what hypothermia is, but not hyperthermia.  Too much hot tub use can cause hyperthermia.  There are also certain people who should never use a hot tub in Glendale unsupervised.

Hot Tubs Glendale and Proper Hot Tub Use

Proper hot tub use also means that certain people should not use a hot tub without supervision.  Elderly people, or people who have epilepsy are two such examples.  Another big example are young children.  Everyone knows that you have to watch your kids around water, but that doesn't mean just a swimming pool.  You also have to watch them around a hot tub.  Pre-teen children should also limit their time in a tub for another reason, namely that it can cause their physical growth to be potentially stunted.
So remember, that a hot tub, if used properly, can help with stress relief which in turn can help with other health problems as well.  But like anything therapeutic, you need to keep it in balance.  Then you can enjoy your Glendale hot tub without fear.

First off, some forms of stress are necessary.  In a life or death situation, stress is natural, and can literally save your life, namely the famous 'fight or flight' response ingrained into us all.  However, make no mistake, unresolved stress is a bad thing.  Unresolved stress, or stacking  is a proven contributor to a plethora of health problems from gingivitis to even cardiovascular disease.  Completely eliminating all forms of stress is an impossibility.  However, there are several methods you can use to reduce your stress significantly.  As a hot tub dealer in Glendale, here are some of the methods of stress relief:
  • Meditation
  • Massage
  • Going for a Walk
  • Exercise
All of these ways can help to relieve stress, however, there is no perfect way of relieving stress.  Even a hot tub in Glendale has to be used in moderation, as we will cover in our next article about proper hot tub use.

Hot Tubs Glendale: One Method of Stress Relief

Hot tubs in Glendale are a good way to relax, however.  They can also help after exercise, and provide you with your own 24x7 masseuse or masseur.  And you obviously don't have to tip your hot tub.  In fact we recommend not tipping your hot tub at all, or all the water will spill out.
Sorry, we couldn't resist, a bit of spa industry humor.  But guess what.  Guess what another method of stress relief is? That's right, having a sense of humor.  In fact a sense of humor is one of the ways we can deal with life and it's stresses. There is another way, however, and that is to install a hot tub in Glendale.

Stress: How Hot Tubs Glendale Can Help

Hot Tubs in Glendale Part 2: Features and Construction

Part two of a series on hot tubs Glendale explores features of a tub.

Hot Tubs in Glendale: Style and Substance

Hot Tub and Outdoor Kitchen Installation in Glendale | 623-776-7727
It used to be that when you were buying hot tubs in Glendale, you had very little choice in style or materials. Nowadays, however, hot tubs come in multiple shapes, styles, and even color. And considering it is an addition to your home, you want it to not be a glaring eyesore. Aesthetic appeal is very important as well as what it is made of.
Acrylic and vinyl are your two main choices of hot tubs nowadays. Whatever your tub is made of however, if it’s going outside, as about 90% of all hot tubs are, it needs to be durable. While Glendale is not known for having bone crushing winters, it can get cold. Combined with the subsequent late spring and summer heat as well, you run the risk of cracking a tub that is resin based such as acrylic and vinyl. When a hot tub is not in use, it’s a good idea to keep it covered up. A spa cover is only one accessory to think about when you’re getting a tub

Hot Tub Accessories

Adding a stereo system also adds to the atmosphere of your hot tub, as do lights. Spa steps may seem like a no brainer, but it is one of those details that most people forget. You also want to make sure that your hot tub has a warranty on it. If you take proper care of your hot tub in Glendale, however, you may rarely if ever need to fix it. Above all else, make sure that you take proper care of your hot tub, which our next article will cover.
Remember, when you are picking a spa out, it is more than just something for your health and well-being. You’re also making an investment in your home. So make sure you do your research, and talk to someone who can consult with you: a hot tub dealer in the Glendale area.

Hot Tubs in Glendale and Stress Relief Part 1

Part one of a series on hot tubs explores the benefits of regular hot tub use.

Hot Tub Use: Picking Your Tub

Hot Tubs in Glendale | Call Us Today | 623-776-7727
Hot tubs in Glendale are a great addition to your home. The most stressful day can disappear fairly quickly by simply thinking about the fact that a tub filled with hot water and bubbles is waiting for you.
Hot tub use provides many proven benefits. However, before you soak in a tub, you have to get one. You have to ask 'which hot tub is right for me?' Well, first off, you want to know what your budget is. Know what your water use is going to be, and the changes to your power bill. These charges are recurring, above the amount that the hot tub is going to cost. Measure the area you have in mind before you buy.

How Big Of a Hot Tub Will I Need?

How big a hot tub you're going to need is determined by how many people will be using it at any one time. If you have at most two or three people using your tub, then obviously, one that holds 6-8 people is too big. Inversely, if you have hot tub parties, and you buy a tub designed for two, people are going to have to wait in line. Another thing to consider is access. If you have a lot of people using the tub, you may want to get additional accessories, such as hot tub steps to allow for easy access on multiple sides.
Above all else, when it is time to hunt for a spa, look at places that sell them. You want someplace that is preferably local, and someone experienced. That way, you get the hot tub in Glendale that not only is the best buy, but the one that is best for you.

Entertaining for the Holidays Part 3: Hot Tubs and Outdoor Kitchens

Part three of our series explores the best of both worlds: hot tubs and outdoor kitchens.

Holiday Entertaining: Cookout and Soak in a Hot Tub

Get a Hot Tub in Glendale, AZ | 623-776-7727
The best parties are those that have a loose framework, and are not rigidly planned.  So why not grill up some steaks on an outdoor kitchen with all of the fixings, and allow people to eat when they will and soak in a hot tub?  If you're a convivial host or hostess, you'll also keep the food and drinks flowing.
A free-form party allows people to strike up a conversation.  And as people have a tendency to relax when they're fed, warm, and relaxed, you can see how a hot tub can also help with this as well.  Why not have a party with an open end time?  While most people get tired after a while, you can have an internal range of time for your hot tub party.

What Music to Play at a Hot Tub Party

If you want to know what music to play at a hot tub party, you know your tastes, and if you know y our friends fairly well, you have a general idea of what they like.  If you're young, and are big on indie rock, then playing country would be jarring to you as a host.  When in doubt, remember pop music.
If you do your job right, however, the music will be nothing more than a filler, and kept at just enough of a volume to be heard.  You want people to be able to talk, and you want a relaxed atmosphere.  And obviously, you don't want your neighbors to hate you for not keeping the noise down. But there is one more important step you have to take, above the food and drink you serve.  You want to get a hot tub in Glendale first.

Entertaining for the Holidays Part 2: Hot Tub Parties

Part two of our series on holiday entertaining explores the many uses of hot tubs in Glendale.

Hot Tubs and the Holidays

Buy Yourself a Glendale Hot Tub | 623-776-7727
No, you read that correctly.  Hot tubs are perfect for the holidays.  Let us explain why.  First off, no matter how many times that you say you're not going to stress out this year, it is fairly normal to stress out on the holidays.  After a while, your stress level will continue rising until it reaches a point that physicians, psychotherapists, and LMTs call 'stacking.'
Stacking or unresolved stress is a big problem.  Stress related illnesses such as high blood pressure, psoriasis, and heart disease are on the rise.  So why not pamper yourself and soak in a hot tub in Glendale?   However it isn't just your stress level, it's the stress level of others. A good way to blow off steam and entertain at the same time for the holidays is to throw a hot tub party. Arizona's night time temperatures are dropping.  It feels wonderful to soak in hot water with cool night air around you.  There is another reason to buy a hot tub in Glendale: as a gift to an important and sometimes forgotten person in everyone's lives.

Buy a Hot Tub For Yourself

Some people consider presents for themselves to be in poor taste.  A lot of psychoanalysts would disagree, however.  Studies have found that people that treat themselves as someone worthy of presents, attention and gifts are often happier and well adjusted. One of the best gifts that you can get yourself is something that you will get continued use out of.  One of the best gifts is a hot tub in Glendale.

Entertaining for the Holidays Part 1: Outdoor Kitchens

Part one of a series on entertaining for the holidays explores outdoor kitchens and why they are an option for year round use in Arizona.

Outdoor Kitchen Ideas and Using Arizona Winters

Hot Tub and Outdoor Kitchen Installation in Glendale | 623-776-7727
This is the time of year that it is easy to love Arizona.  It is warm outside, but not hot.  When everyone else is putting their barbecue into their garage, Arizonans have the advantage of being able to still cook outside.   Cooking outside is a welcome change and if you review the right outdoor kitchen ideas,  and install them it is just as easy as to cook using an outdoor kitchen as it is in an indoor one.
How much space do you need to for an outdoor kitchen?  Well, it isn't really the amount of space you have as much as it is how functional your space is. Placement is also a factor.   It helps if your outdoor kitchen is in close proximity to your indoor one to reduce trips back and forth.

 Barbecue Islands and the Holidays

Why not have a smoked turkey dinner for Thanksgiving.  Maybe you can even invite your out of town guests as well.  That way, you can be the perfect host or hostess while at the same time, showing off Arizona's famously mild winters. And a barbecue island or outdoor kitchen is the best way to show off your party-throwing skills as well as culinary expertise.
Why chain yourself to a dinner table and endure the holidays?  Holidays are times of celebration.  So with that said, why not give yourself every advantage?  Install an outdoor kitchen in Glendale, AZ today...just in time for the holiday season.

Throwing a Memorable Hot Tub Party Part 3: Ambiance and Atmosphere

Part three of a series on throwing a memorable hot tub party explores the importance of ambiance. What is ambiance?  Why atmosphere of course.

Hot Tub Party Ambiance: the Right Mix

Install a Glendale Hot Tub | (480) 656-7267
We've all been to them.  Parties that are beyond boring.  No music playing, cheap snacks, nothing to drink, and only small talk conversation.  Then someone offers to bring out a dull game to 'liven' things up.  At that point you've got only two choices left: fake an emergency text message on your phone, or gnaw your own arm off to escape.  You don't want your hot tub party to be like that!

So let's start helping you to get the ambiance firmly established. Start by decorating.  If you're throwing a theme party such as a luau, obviously tikis, torches, leis, and palm trees help to get people in the tropical mood.  You may also wish to make your food and drink, as we discussed in our earlier articles reflect your theme.  Choosing what music to use at your hot tub party is also important.

Music and Company: How a Hot Tub Ties it All Together

With the obvious presence of water, think of all the possibilities for music at a hot tub party.  Obviously you could use steel drum music of the Caribbean and Hawaiian music.  But you could also do Greek music because of the Mediterranean, or Mexican fiesta music as well.  If you don't want world music, how about surfer rock, or neo-surfer rock?  Maybe you want a mix of several different types of music.  Just remember, you want to balance noisy and loud music with some songs that are a little quieter.  Don't get too quiet or you'll make the ambiance of the party dissipate.  Keep the volume down, both for your neighbors, and so that your guests can have conversations.

Don't make too many rules for your party.  The best parties are those that you keep loose.  People can get into the spa or stay out, or hop back and forth.  With the right combination of ambiance, conversation, food, and drink, your parties will be remembered as legendary.  When people are relaxed, they talk more and a hot tub party is very relaxing.

Throwing a Memorable Hot Tub Party Part 2: Libations

Part two of a three part series on hot tub entertaining explores libations you can mix, as well as the idea of using an open bar.  And both of them have their pluses and minuses.

An Important Note About Hot Tubs and Alcohol

Hot tub parties can include alcohol
if you drink responsibly | 623-776-7727
As a responsible hot tub dealer in Glendale, we advise you to drink responsibly.  Do not go into a hot tub if you've had too much to drink, and never go in alone.  With that said, it is time to talk about the second ingredient of a great party: libations.  Go to the liquor department of any grocery store, and you will find a bewildering assortment of different types of  booze, from vodka to rum to wine.

To add to this confusion, there are hundreds of drink recipes online or in books. It can be a bit much when you're thinking about throwing a hot tub party particularly if you don't know that much about cocktails.  First off, let's start simple.  Where alcohol is concerned, the ice chest should be used to keep self-contained drinks such as beer or wine coolers.  The refrigerator is the place for mixed drinks such as a Tom Collins, a screwdriver, white or green Russians, or  Cosmopolitans that involve fresh fruit. milk,  or fruit juices.  The freezer on the other hand is for frozen drink mixes such as margaritas, frozen daiquiris, and so on.  So as a host or hostess, you can decide to make a round of drinks usually the same cocktail, or you can go for an open bar.

An Open Bar for a Hot Tub Party: Yes or No?

An important thing to know about good alcohol is that it is never cheap.  Real absinthe for example can run $80 and up a bottle, as can really good tequila.  With that in mind, if you're doing an open bar at your hot tub party, you don't want to put out the 'special occasion' alcohol only to find an empty bottle at the end of the night.  So get some moderately priced libations, and some mixers such as club soda, cola, and ginger ale.  Your guests can mix their own drinks.

As their host, however, keep an eye on them and make sure they're not drinking too much, particularly if they are thinking of driving home.  So where alcohol and a hot tub party is concerned, just remember to be responsible.

Throwing a Memorable Hot Tub Party Part 1: What Food To Serve

Hot tubs are perfect places to entertain. This three part series explores their use in parties and get-togethers.

Hot Tubs and The Menu for The Party

Hot Tub Parties are a Fun Touch | (480) 656-7267
First off it is never a good idea to actually eat in your hot tub.  There are a lot of good reasons why you never see people munching on a hoagie or a slice of pizza in their pool or spa.  It makes perfect sense if you think about it.

Why?  Well, a few bits of food along with hot water ends up creating a rather nasty type of soup.  So, keep the food available, but away from the hot tub.  Appetizers such as finger foods and snacks such as pretzels, nuts, and chips, are always a safe bet.  You don't hear many people complaining about endless supplies of those.  The next question you have to ask is more philosophical:  To crock or not to crock, and by 'crock," we're referring to slow cookers or as they are more commonly known: crock-pots.  Throw in some barbecue sauce, some miniature frankfurters, smoked sausage, or meatballs, and you have a tasty and filling appetizer.  When you're dealing with meats, cheeses, and fresh veggies, use a bit of common sense as well as caution.

Make sure that they're covered and either refrigerated or kept in an ice chest.  If you want to make an entree or even entrees, keep it simple.  Go for hamburgers, hot dogs, and other barbecue foods, or if you're going to have a  dish and some sides, you might want to get it catered for even less effort.  Whatever type of food, know about how much food you're going to need for a hot tub party, both in terms of food and how much it will cost.

How Much Food Will You Need for Hot Tub Party?

A lot of people either get too little food for a hot tub party to save money, or too much food and end up wasting it.  If you have to pick, however, it's best to have too much food rather than not enough.  If you are a sharp hostess, you will even insist on your guests taking food home.  That reduces the amount of leftover food you have left, gives you the reputation of being someone who throws great parties, and doesn't make you responsible for wasting food.

Great parties are a combination of things, but the main things are: great food, great drink, and great ambiance.  Part two of this series will explore libations that are appropriate for an outdoor party, and part three will explore how to create ambiance.   The weather's getting nice.  It's time to throw a hot tub party.

Hot Tubs and Exercise Part 3: Stretch it Out

Be sure to read part one and part two of this series on hot tubs and exercise. This article will explore the importance of incorporating stretching into your workouts.

Stretching and Hot Tub Use

Hot tubs are a good way to round out a workout, but what about stretching?  Stretching is very important type of exercise.   Not only does it improve your flexibility, it also  helps you to develop great muscle tone, as well as helping to minimize or eliminate cramps.  Most people stretch all the time and don't even know it.

When you wake up in the morning, like most people, you probably stretch instinctively and yawn. What do you do when you're on a long road trip and you get out of the car? You stretch your legs while you're getting gas.   Yoga isn't just a form of meditation, it's also stretching.  Stretching is part of any fitness regimen. To reduce the risks of injury, athletes stretch before and after exercise.  Like using a hot tub, stretching can be dangerous if you're not doing it right.   You run the risk of spraining a muscle or even tearing a ligament if you don't stretch right. However, the health benefits from stretching far outweigh it's potential dangers.

Hot Tubs and Stretching: Perfect Partners

As if flexibility weren't enough, did you know that stretching also improves your  balanceand improves stamina?  It does. Also, like using a hot tub, it helps with blood circulation.  In addition,  lot of people don't know that stretching also helps to improve overall well-being.  There are four different types of stretching: static, ballistic, propioceptive  neuromuscular facilitation, and dynamic stretching. Ballistic stretching is a rapid stretch that involves bouncing. Static stretching is a type of stretch involved holding the stretch for thirty seconds without any movement. Propioceptive  neuromuscular facilitation is a stretching method that targets specific muscle groups. As to when to stretch, that' s also important.

First off, it's never good to stretch without warming up first.  Without a properly warmed up muscle, stretching can cause more harm than good.  A good rule of thumb is to do some sort of brisk exercise for about 3-4 minutes, stretch out, and then exercise.  At the end of your workout, stretch again.  And how do you wrap it all up?  Soak in a hot tub for about 30 minutes.

Hot Tubs and Exercise Part 2

Part two of a two part series on hot tubs and exercise explores the effect that exercise has on your metabolism and explores some helpful weight loss secrets without dieting.

Using a Phoenix Hot Tub:  Exercise and Its Effects on the Body

Install a Phoenix Hot Tub  | (480) 656-7267
Most people are aware that using a hot tub is a good way of relaxing, however, after a workout it is also very beneficial in keeping your metabolism operating at peak efficiency.  Why does keeping your metabolism high matter?  Well, for one thing, your metabolic rate determines how your body processes calories.  As we age, our metabolism naturally slows down.  As a result, we can eat less and less and still gain wait or find it harder to shed excess pounds.  Every couple of years a new diet by some expert comes out.  There will be several endorsements, and a book deal, but to save you a lot of money and heartache, a lot of diets are either A) potentially harmful B) useless  and C) all of the above.  You can lose a bit of weight at first, however, it will plateau quickly, and then you won't be losing any more weight, that is until the follow up diet comes out.  Most doctors agree that a healthy lifestyle including exercise, good eating habits and getting enough rest are surefire ways of losing weight.

Using a hot tub helps your body maintain it's higher metabolic rate by allowing blood flow from your inner core to go outward, and be circulated.  Also, using a hot tub helps you to relax, which in turn helps you to sleep better.  If you get enough sleep every night, you will also find that losing weight is a lot easier.

Hot Tubs in Phoenix: Lifestyle Changes

Using a hot tub is part of a healthy lifestyle.  One of the most proven and deadliest factors in hypertension, heart disease and other serious health issues is a high level of stress.  Exercise of any sort is good for fighting stress as well as helping to combat some more serious health problems.  Hot tubs and exercise are only part of it.

Getting enough rest, as we discussed above, is important.  Another thing to be aware of is that you want to watch what you eat.  You don't want to diet, just make a few healthy substitutions here and there and control your portions.  You will find that the combination of getting enough rest as well as enough exercise are great first steps to take.  The best step of all however, is to install and use a hot tub.

Hot Tubs and Exercise Part 1

Part one of a three part series on hot tubs and exercise explores the importance of good nutrition before, during and after a workout.

Nutrition and Hot Tub Use

Before a morning workout, it may sound counter-intuitive, but you want to load up a bit on your carbs. No, that doesn't mean pigging out on doughnuts, or eating an enormous pancake breakfast. Sounds odd, but a great way to much before you head to the gym is to eat some protein rich peanut butter and banana slices as a snack. Another cool tip is to add a few chia seeds to your water or protein drink. Chia seeds absorb huge amounts of water, which allow you to stay hydrated. They're also great for weight loss as you don't eat as much. Whatever you eat, however, you do not want to use your hot tub before you workout. While the hot water can warm up your muscles, it can do it too quickly, and make your workout potentially dangerous. You can use your hot tub after you workout, but be aware of the two T's: Timing and Temperature.

As they say in show business, timing is everything. The same holds true for your hot tub in Phoenix. It is a good idea to cool down for at least an hour after a workout before you slip into a tub. It is very important to cool down as your body temperature will be a lot higher, particularly after a strenuous workout. Cooling down also helps to lower both your heart rate and respiration. If you enter a hot tub too soon, you can get hyperthermia, literally where your body temperature is way too high. Another thing you want to do before you get into the hot tub is to refuel.

Hot Tubs and Chocolate Milk

A lot of people shell out big bucks for a protein shake at their gym without realizing that they have a perfect protein drink that is easily made at home. Chocolate milk has made several personal trainers' must have lists. If you drink it within 30 minutes of a workout's end, you can bounce back a lot quicker from a strenuous workout. So before you jump in a hot tub, drink a glass of chocolate milk. Another thing to remember after a weight training sessions is to remember the protein.

Chocolate milk has protein, as does peanut butter mentioned earlier in this article, however, right after a workout, your muscles are going to need a lot of protein and quickly. Eggs are good for protein as are high omega-3 content fish like salmon and tuna. Eat a lot of protein within an hour of your workout's end. After you get your protein in, you want to soak in a hot tub to help the circulation of blood to your muscles.

Design a Hot Tub Area

After you install a hot tub, you may want to make the area around it shine too. There are several ways to accomplish this.

Hot Tubs and Designing Your Space

Remember one thing about hot tubs. They are designed to be intimate, not bright. You don't want to install a bunch of lights that are bright and glaring. Instead install some solar accent lights near your tub, preferably near a walkway. Space them out about 2-3 feet from each other. Maybe have a decorative flagstone path leading to the hot tub. Also, where you place your hot tub can also be decorative.

Hot tub gazebos are good way to personalize your tub and at the same time protect it from the elements. Gazebos can be enclosed or latticed open-air structures. Both types have their advantages and disadvantages. Closed gazebos are more secure and are also good for storage of cleaning materials and chemicals in the enclosure for easy access when they need them. Open-air structures are another option. Whatever you decide on your hot tub, you also want to make sure you have the right hot tub accessories.

Hot Tub Accessories to Round it All Out

The right hot tub accessories can make or break your hot tub experience. Steps for example are a good way of accessing the hot tub, and are a low cost add on. Spa side enhancements make your hot tub look less like an intrusion and more like a part of your environment. Spa covers help to keep dust, dirt, and debris out. And what about music? Enjoy the ultimate backyard spa experience with spa entertainment systems.

So as you see, there is more to tub ownership than simply buying one. You also want to add to your experience and get the right decorations, and placement. Start with the first step: install a hot tub in Phoenix.

Hot Tubs and Your Family Part 3

Couples aren't the only family members that benefit from hot tubs and intimacy. Families can too.

Why a Family Needs Intimacy in a Hot Tub

Enjoy a Hot Tub Together as a Family | (480) 656-7267
A couple needs intimacy of a different sort than a family does as a unit, however, a family also needs some time together. Again, this is all about social connections. If your children feel disconnected from you as parents, they're going to also start to feel disconnected to their peers and society as a whole. And a lot of people don't realize that children have their own stress to deal with as well. While it may not seem that earth shattering to you, whatever they're going through is important to them. Time in a hot tub together as a family helps to create a non-threatening environment where everyone can relax, and talk about what's going on at school, work, whatever. Families that communicate the right way with each other are happier as a rule. And happy families produce happy children.

A hot tub is one place that you can escape to as a family. One of our customers even put a sign on her patio to leave all stress at the door, and it's funny how it worked. As a family, they soak together regularly. And this makes life a littler easier to deal with sometimes. She honestly believes that the hot tub helps them all to communicate better, as everyone relaxes. There is one thing that you have to be aware of regarding hot tub use, however.

Hot Tub Use and Childhood Development

While a hot tub is very effective in releasing stress, children and adolescents should limit their use as it can impact their bone development and growth. Like all things, just take it in moderation. And a hot tub is not a substitute for other family activities.

So sometimes, talk to your kids. Find out what is on their minds, and sometimes do things that are just for fun. When they get a little older, give them a bit of freedom and autonomy. And sometimes, get together as a family and soak in a hot tub.

Hot Tubs and Your Family Part 2: The Need for Intimacy

Buying a hot tub is more than just an investment in your property. It is also an investment in your relationship.

Hot Tubs: Helping Grow and Maintain Intimacy

Install a Hot Tub | (480) 656-7267
We are busy people. Between the pressures of work, school, and your home life, sometimes if you're not careful, a subtle but very important part of your relationship can suffer: intimacy. Believe it or not, one of the most common causes of divorce is not infidelity, it is lack of intimacy. Next to lack of communication, lack of intimacy is listed as a factor in the decision to separate or even divorce. Using a hot tub together, is one of the best ways to improve and maintain your intimacy. And why is intimacy so so important?

Well, for one thing, human beings are social creatures. As a rule, we're wired to make social connections with each other. And intimacy is an important part of that connection. If intimacy starts to fade, that precious feeling of connection also starts to fade too. In fact, a lack of intimacy is usually the beginning of other problems such as communication breakdown, suspicion, and distrust. Is a hot tub the solution? Not all of it, no.

Hot Tubs: Setting the Stage for a Lifetime

While installing a hot tub is a good beginning, it isn't everything you're going to need to keep the intimacy alive in your relationship. For one thing, you both have to want to make the effort. A relationship is nothing like it is in the movies or TV as a rule. Relationships take a bit of work to keep them healthy and alive. A good relationship is much like tending a garden. You need to take care of it or it will die. However, one thing that is amazing about relationships is how much just little things can shift the dynamic of the relationship towards healthy.

Calling someone just to say hello and hear their voice takes a moment and causes positive emotions for both parties on each end of the phone. Buying someone flowers just because or turning off the television so you can talk is a big one. And there is something truly enchanting about soaking together in a hot tub, snuggled together.

Home Improvement Projects Part II:Install a Barbeque Island

Part two of this three part series will explore barbecue islands as a home improvement project. In part one, we covered hot tub installation, and part three will cover accessories.

Why's a Barbecue Island a Good Home Improvement Project?

Installing a barbecue island goes along with installing a hot tub, it is a home improvement project that improves your quality of life. Why? Well, for one, except for the hot summer, Arizona has a temperate climate. Meaning that when everyone else back east or up north are up to the eyeballs in snow, you can still have a barbecue, and as it is a permanent fixture, you can barbecue whenever you want.

Human beings are social creatures. We need interaction with our friends and family and one of the best ways to do this is by sharing meals together. A barbecue is an American classic. From Texas to the Pacific Northwest, barbecues are part of the rites of summer. With a  barbecue island in Phoenix, you have a permanent place to have it too.

Install a Barbecue Island in Phoenix

We know what you're thinking. Why go to all the trouble and expense of installing a barbecue island when you can just go buy a barbecue at a home improvement store, or a retail outlet? Well for one, they wear out. You could end up spending $100 or more for a barbecue only to have to replace it in a couple of years because it's rusted out. Also, even if you keep them covered, they get dusty and full of bugs and spiders, and even worse, scorpions. Not exactly appetizing is it? A barbeque island can be easily cleaned with a garden hose and a bit of dish washing soap. Some home improvement projects are just for safety. Installing anti-slip strips in a tub or shower and fixing wiring issues falls into this category. Other home improvement projects are just for improving the ambiance of your home. One of the best ways to do this? Install a barbecue island.

Home Improvement Projects Part I: Hot Tubs in Phoenix

In this three part article series, we will explore home improvement projects, such as installing a hot tub in Phoenix. Part two of this series will explore installing barbeque islands, and part three will cover accessories.

Why Install a Hot Tub in Phoenix?

Install a Phoenix Hot Tub | (480) 656-7267
Face it, Phoenix is not balmy, nor is it just warm. It is very hot here. Why install a hot tub in Phoenix when we have so much heat to deal with already? Well, there is heat and there is heat from a hot tub, and they're very different. The heat from the sun leaves you drained, exhausted, thirsty and tired.

Soaking in a hot tub, however, leaves you relaxed, peaceful and stress free. And what's more, you can reduce the temperature to cool, soaking in basically a swimming pool with jets of water. There is another reason you want to get a tub too.

Hot Tubs: Improving Your Life

Because of the reasons we've discussed above, plus more, it is a good idea to install a hot tub. For one thing, any addition to your home that improves your quality of life is a good addition. Improved quality of life is one of the few proven factors to living a healthy and happy life itself. And who doesn't want that? Home improvements are great morale boosters. You transform your living environment and give it a fresh new look. Sometimes a home improvement is as simple as putting in new drapes or getting new furniture. Sometimes, it is merely a good spring cleaning you need, or maybe a kitchen remodeling. Other times you need something more than this. You need a home improvement that is more than just aesthetics, you also need something more practical, and something that will last you for years or even decades. And what home improvement project is best for that? Why, a Phoenix hot tub of course.
