How Do I Find the Best Hot Tub Out There?

How do I find the best hot tub out there?  Since hot tubs give you tons of benefits, we are going to write a short article about how to choose the best one. At the beginning, we will talk about choosing the right place and size, and then we will continue with materials, budget, seating capacity, maintenance, among other things.

Location and Size

Decide on the right place to put your hot tub with aesthetics, accessibility and privacy taken into consideration. Avoid putting your hot tub under any bush or tree dropping tons of leaves at all times. In addition, the site must endure up to 150 lbs per each square foot or 750kg per each square meter. A concrete slab or a sturdy deck will give you security and strength you need too, and the water capacity of your tub will be determined by the number of individuals inside the tub. Therefore, multiply 75 gallons of water just by the number of people in the hot tub.

Budget and Material

You will have to pay around $4000 for a 2-person tub and up to $10,000 for a 6-person one. In addition, maintenance costs must be taken into consideration as well. Remember that full insulation will help you save tons of energy over time. Acrylic is the material most hot tubs use today as it is longer lasting and easier to maintain than fiberglass. Although redwood is also commonly used to make hot tubs, it does not offer the same contoured seating and low maintenance as acrylic does. On the other hand, vinyl hot tubs are low cost options with prices ranging around $2,500.

Try Out, Features and Installation

Ask the hot tub seller if you may try out the item. Pay close attention to the premolded seats, ease of use and noise levels its jets bring about. In addition, you should be able to move about comfortably. Find out whether covers are available for your hot tub as they will keep it clean and your children away, and automatic shutoffs and thermostats are great amenities as well.

Hot Tubs: Final Thoughts

Why You Should Buy a Hot Tub

Why should you buy a hot tub?  Simple.  They are not just beautiful, they're functional as well.
Athletes use them, as do celebrities, and why?  Because of the many benefits they offer, such as improved circulation, pain relief, and as one of the best ways to reduce stress. And, as we covered previously, Hot tubs are one of the best ways to reduce stress.

The Causes of Stress and Stress Relief

Sometimes, stress stems from feeling overwhelmed. You should use a planner so as to keep track of what you need to do, such as time for yourself in a hot tub. Getting your priorities right and being better organized may help you in breaking your responsibilities to manageable level, and focusing on things which are really important to you. You will have a positive mindset when you stay on top of your errands and chores.
Learn to say no. You can’t do everything you’re asked to, so you should not keep pretending that you are able. In fact, the more you promise and do not deliver the less people who are going to perceive you as nice. Rather, they are going to consider you a nuisance, knowing that you can drop the ball at the last minute. You should instead be assertive and learn to politely but firmly say no when you are given a task you are unable to fulfill.
Learn to delegate. Never delegating is a sign that you are trying exercise control, and not trusting that others are able of doing their work the way you can. You should strive to let go through giving more credence to other’s abilities. It may appear stressful in theory delegating work, but you are going to free up some time, you should find a reliable person or people in your life that you may trust with duties that you are stressed to manage.
One of the best ways to reduce stress is to pamper yourself every now and then.  So kick off your shoes and pour yourself a glass of wine, or whatever your favorite beverage is. Then climb in a hot tub and feel your stress bubble away.

How Does a Hot Tub Help With Stress?

How does a hot tub help with stress?  Well, for one, it's like having a professional 24x7 massage therapist on call.  And make no mistake, stress relief is a key reason to get a hot tub.  Stress and stress related illnesses are a silent pandemic in America.
We all must deal with stress at some point in our lives, whether it’s our life drama with friends and family, our job, our relationship gone sour or with our finances. Whereas some little stress might not be bad at all, it’s its excess that does harm. With that in mind, rather than letting it dominate your life, you may try these stress relief strategies that will make you relax in no time.

Hot Tubs and Stress Relief Strategies

Accept that you have stress. It might seem counterintuitive accepting your stress. However, accepting what’s causing it implies that you are aware of your stressor and what you require to avoid. Accepting is different from ignoring, but rather it means that you are aware of its origin. Know that the stress is some healthy response to overwhelming stimuli, and that it may be eliminated in an equally healthy style.
Avoid your stressors. Another form of stress relief is avoiding your stressors. Often staying away from your stressor is not easy as it sounds. When you are aware of a specific activity or person is the bringer of your stress, simply eliminate them from your life. When it’s something more permanent like family, school or work, you can always find some time to stay away from it. This is among the first methods of relieving your stress.
Reframe your problems. Often, a stressful situation may just be a matter of perspective. Therefore, instead of just focusing on the negatives, and the problems that are responsible for causing your anxiety, you should instead concentrate on the positives. If you alter your perspective, you may change your stress level altogether. You should do your best and see things in positive light, avoiding cynicism at all costs.  A positive attitude is a key factor in fighting stress.  So, think of ways to treat yourself well.  One way is to soak in a hot tub.

Hot Tubs: Sales and Information

What's the Difference Between a Jacuzzi and a Hot Tub?

What's the difference between a Jacuzzi and a hot tub?  A Jacuzzi is actually one specific brand of hot tub.  It has become synonymous with a hot tub, but there are several different brands of tubs out on the market.  A hot tub is a small pool filled with heated water that is commonly used for relaxation and/or for  hydrotherapy. They are not bathtubs. Unlike bathtubs, hot tubs are designed for use by more than one person and are mostly located outdoors.
The only other significant difference between a bathtub and a hot tub  is that water in hot tubs is sanitized just like swimming pools and not changed after each use. Hot tubs were introduced in the USA in the 1940s and have since been embraced many in the country.

How Does a Hot Tub Work?

How does a hot tub work?  Well, hot tubs use a pressure system that ensures water reaches the tub through the jets and a suction system which enables water to leave the tub and lead the water back to the pumps. The two systems are actually very important components of the hot tubs as they are vital in ensuring that the water the tub is fresh and clean after use.
Speaking of clean water, hot tubs also have a filter system to help with the process of cleaning the water. Air is also incorporated into water stream through the jets and this helps in the massage.
The water temperature must be checked and regulated in a hot tub as the water might be dangerously hot.  Most hot tubs are set at about 102 degrees, so slightly higher than body temperature.  You don't want to go much higher than this temperature, however, as you run a risk of injury from scalding.  In addition, the higher that you set your temperature, you will have to shorten your time in the tub.  At 102 degrees a good rule of thumb is about 15-20 minutes.
An important thing to realize is that you don't change the water after each time you use a hot tub, so you want to make sure that your tub has a very good filter system.
So let's recap.  A Jacuzzi is a hot tub, but not all hot tubs are Jacuzzis.  Hot tubs should have heated water, but not be too hot.  And you want to make sure that your hot tub is cleaned properly every now and then.  If you have questions, make sure you consult with your hot tub dealer in Glendale.

Hot Tubs and Medical Conditions

Hot tubs can help with a wide variety of ailments from arthritis to diabetes, however, hot tubs should be used with caution.  Anyone who has a medical condition should first talk to their doctor before using a hot tub. Temperatures over 102 should be avoided and a person shouldn't soak in the hot tub for more than 20 minutes at any time. Most importantly, make that that if you're going use a hot tub, clean it on a regular basis.
For those who suffer from high blood pressure, there should be no concern, unless your doctor advises not to do so. In addition, for women who are pregnant, they should not use a hot tub without seeking guidance from their doctor.  Now let's talk about the therapeutic effects of regular hot tub use.  One of the most important benefit of a hot tub in your home is as a great source of stress relief.

Stress Relief: A Great Benefit

No matter how centered we like to think ourselves, sooner or later something is going to come along to stress us out.  If someone is able to let go of their stress, that's a great thing.  However, if you're like most people, you probably hold on to some if not all of the stress.  As a result, this leads to stacking which is dangerous.
Unresolved stress or stacking is a contributing factor to a lot of medical conditions.  Stacking can cause back and neck problems from tension, and it can cause vascular problems such as high blood pressure and heart disease. Stress is also a contributing factor towards overeating and obesity, as well as substance abuse as well.  The more stressed out we are, the more unhealthy we are.  A stress relief solution such as a hot tub is one of those things that has proven results.

To conclude, there are many therapeutic benefits of a hot tub such as those mentioned above. Hot tubs are especially helpful for those who want to lower their stress and anxiety, who suffer from arthritis or those who suffer from a sports injury. Find out how a hot tub can help you! Check out your local appliance store and find out more about hot tubs!
