Health and Well-Being:  Improved Circulation Vs. a Sedentary Lifestyle

Improved circulation is one of the many health benefits of using a hot tub.  It is imperative for a long and healthy life to be physically active and improve your circulation.  A sedentary lifestyle on the other hand is a slow spiral towards poor health, unhappiness and health problems such as obesity, stiffness, and lack of circulation.
In our last article, we covered some of the benefits of improved circulation, but here are some surprising ones.  First off, if your circulation is good, did you know that it can make you better able to handle a crisis when it comes up?  It can.  When  you exercise strenuously, it makes your heart pump faster.  This means that your arteries and veins dilate and blood flow improves significantly.  With properly oxygenated blood, endorphin production occurs in your body.  As your endorphin level rises, you are calm, and filled with a sense of well-being.  All very interesting, but what does this have to do with a hot tub?

Hot Tub Use Post Workout

After your workout, your muscles are going to ache and be very tired.  As a result of this, your body will be producing toxins not endorphins.  Later on in the day after you have recovered from your workout, your endorphin level will rise, however, if you use a hot tub, you will accelerate this process.  You will find yourself having a very large amount of energy that will last you throughout the day.  And if you exercise early in the day, when you get home, you will find that you are able to fall asleep faster and stay asleep.  A good night's sleep is one of the most important things that you can have for optimal health.  Using a hot tub is part of a healthy daily routine that will improve your circulation as well as your quality of life.  
So remember, a healthy lifestyle is  important for a long and healthy life.  So get plenty of rest, eat healthy, and exercise regularly.  And after each and every workout, make sure that you fuel your body with lots of protein and complex carbohydrates.  Most importantly of all, spend a few minutes each day soaking in a hot tub.
