Stress Relief and a Hot Tub Massage

Even if you are someone who takes active steps to control it, sooner or later, you're going to stress out over something. Short-term stress is easily alleviated. Stacking, or unresolved stress, is a bit more serious. That's why you need an effective strategy for stress relief. That's where hot tub massage therapy comes in.
A lot of people think that massage only helps with muscles.  However, according to this article excerpt from the Mayo Clinic website: "Massage is generally considered part of complementary and alternative medicine. It's increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations. Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension. While more research is needed to confirm the benefits of massage, some studies have found massage may also be helpful for:
  • Anxiety
  • Digestive disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia related to stress
  • Myofascial pain syndrome
  • Paresthesias and nerve pain
  • Soft tissue strains or injuries
  • Sports injuries
  • Temporomandibular joint pain" [READ MORE]
Why does a hot tub help?  Well, it provides all of the benefits of massage therapy as well as buoyancy and heat, all of which help to relieve strain and tension on joints, tendons, and muscles.  As a result, you naturally start to relax.  And when you relax, stress dissipates significantly.
